For Sale: 1970 911T Coupe, three-owner car. It is a US spec car, but the original owner actually picked it up in Germany. I have the first service receipt showing this. It was in California until 1998. The only rust on the car was in the very front of the boot. I have been told this is common from battery fumes or a leaky battery. It was surface and I wire-brushed it and coated that area with POR-15 so it should be taken care of. The car has about 115,000 original miles on it. I haven't gotten a cardex, but going by the partial records I have and the fact that the motor is indeed a 2.2 with zenith carbs, I'm pretty sure it is the original engine. It has six coats of Glasurit Irish Green paint—original color. The steel wheels have been reconditioned and clear coated. Lots of new seals, new H4 headlights, new horn grills, new Euro turn signal lenses front and rear, new rear chrome bumperettes, Recaro SE seats, Momo Prototipo steering wheel, RS door panels, RS carpet kit, tach and speedo restored by Hollywood Speedo, SSi stainlees heat exchangers, new fuel pump, rebuilt front calipers, new brake pads, new clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate, flywhee,l and clutch cable, rebuilt carbs, turbo lower valve covers, new batteries, plug wires, dizzy cap, air filter—I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting. Things that go with the car: RS package shelf, original steering wheel, complete wiper-rack assembly, and chrome bumper trim that I took off because I thought it was ugly. I have the original owner's manual, service coupon book, and the world directory of service, all in their red vinyl covers. It is a four speed—somewhat rare for the U.S. market. Like all old Porsches, it does have a small oil leak. The speedo drive o-ring in the transmission leaks, but I just check every few months. I think the transmission and engine have to come out to fix it, so that can wait until a more serious problem arises. It has the usual crack in the dash and speaker grill. The steering shaft could use the anti-wobble washer/bearing fix that Pelican sells, but it never really bothered me much. I have probably forgotten as much as I have written. Feel free to email with any questions. Asking $25,000. Contact Allan Johnson at allans356@hotmail.com . |
