SUMMARY:Porsches & Pups
DESCRIPTION:Shenandoah Region members and their canine companions are invited to attend the inaugural Porsches & Pups event on Sunday April 27th. \nDog loving members may also attended solo. The event is open to Shenandoah Region members only. \nWeather permitting\, the event will held at Le Berceau\, Barbie and Ray Chung’s home in Rapidan\, VA. (Scroll down for complete address and map.) This is an outdoor event\, so plan accordingly. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their lunch and a chair or blanket upon which to sit and have a picnic. The club will provide water and sodas. \nPlan to arrive by 10:30 am for the group walk at 11:00. This will allow the dogs to familiarize themselves with each other and for the humans to get a layout of the property. For the initial walk\, all participating dogs must be leashed. Lunchtime will follow. After lunch\, participants can hang out around the property and explore. Bring a ball or frisbee to play fetch. Consider bringing a towel (if your dog likes water) as there is a small pond and the property is bounded by a creek. \nAs there is approximately a mile of gravel road to the property\, arriving in a Porsche is not mandatory.  Please remember that this is an outdoor event. The property is not fenced. Attendees are strongly encouraged to make a donation to the Culpeper Humane Society.

SUMMARY:Porsche Only Swap Meet
DESCRIPTION:Take a road trip with other Shenandoah Region member to the Porsche Only Swap Meet.  Here’s the excerpt from the organizer’s webpage: \nThe Central PA Region of the Porsche Club of America is once again bringing its world-famous Porsche-Only Swap Meet to Carlisle Fairgrounds\, Carlisle Pennsylvania\, on Saturday\, May 3rd\, 2025. This is without exaggeration the largest event of its kind on the planet. It typically brings nearly 650 vendors\, around 1\,000 Porsches\, and over 6\,000 visitors from all over the world together every year. If you’re seeking an obscure Porsche or an obscure part for your Porsche\, this is your best chance to find it. Every dealer and Porsche packrat in a 250-mile radius will be bringing their odds and ends for sale or swap. You’ll see exotic Porsches found nowhere this side of Stuttgart\, and Porsche personalities ranging from PCA muckety-mucks to (sometimes) celebrities like Jerry Seinfeld. As always\, we’ll feature a People’s Choice Concours\, too!

SUMMARY:Autocross at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday\, September 13th
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open on MotorsportReg for the premier autocross of the year. This is our third year  at Richmond Raceway\, and we will have use of the track for full 8 hour track day.  Please note\, your run sequence will be based on when you register. The earlier your registration\, the earlier you will run. To register click the link below: \n AUTOCROSS REGISTRATION \nWe would like to offer a unique and special opportunity for our Shenandoah Region \, First Settlers and friends during our RPM weekend. We once again have rented the Richmond\nRaceway for a special autocross on the track. This event is not in the parking lot or near the facility\, but\nactually on the track that they race the NASCAR and Indy cars.  Our event is on Saturday\, September 13\, 2025. \nAn autocross is a single car timed competitive event where drivers navigate a course outlined by cones. \nThe course is a .75 mile D-Shaped oval track that  has a 860-foot straightaway.\nThis is truly a special opportunity that autocross enthusiasts seldom experience in your own car.  We only know of our two regions that to do an event of this magnitude. \nOur setup  will be a course that can be easily navigated with lots of openness for you to enjoy your car legally and safely while we run multiple cars one at a time.  We expect at least 5 runs per car and based on times and\nparticipation\, six runs are very possible this year. Each run is 1.5 laps of the race track.  \nRegistration is limited to 50 cars. This is a first come first served event. The earlier you sign up\, the earlier your run session. The asphalt track is unique\, fast\, and long.\nFor a full continuous 8 hours of racing (9 AM-5 PM)\, this is the Crown Jewel of our clubs racing season. \nBecause of the nearly five figure cost to rent the track\, we have had a price adjustment this year; $170 for our FSR & SRPCA members and $185 for non-PCA members. The opportunity and rarity of this event can’t be underplayed. RPM is is almost here so don’t delay in signing up for this event and other events planned for September 13th & 14th weekend. \nRPM(9/14th) registration link will be available on July 14th. \nA current compliant helmet is required for this event. O G Racing is a popular source for helmets \nWe hope to see everyone and all of your wonderful cars.  Be sure to come out and enjoy the rare and unique experience.\n For any questions please contact Rick Ebinger at fle9146@gmail .com

The marque event is on Sunday\, September 14th\, a Concours and display of some fabulous Porsches at the beautiful Dover Hall near Short Pump\, VA. This is a new upscale venue for Shenandoah Region Porsche Club (SRPCA). We now have a new event co-host\, our friends from the neighboring First Settlers Region (FSR). We welcome FSR! \nRichmond Porsche Meet Details \nCocktail Party: Join us for hors d’oeuvre and a cash bar at the spectacular Hermitage Country Club located in Manakin Sabot\, VA\, beginning at 5:30 PM. \nConcours: A Concours on the Dover Hall property will kick off a full day of activities on Sunday. If you want to compete in the Concours\, you need to register your Porsche and register for lunch. The Concours will be limited to 50 cars and all awards will be presented during lunch in the Dover Hall ballroom. \nPorsche Corral: If you’re not entering the judged Concours\, you’ll still want to polish up your Porsche and plan to park in the Corral and participate in the People’s Choice award. Corral attendees must register on this site and register for lunch. There is no cost to register for the Corral. The People Choice award will be presented during lunch in the Dover Hall ballroom. \nWhether your focus is the vintage cars or to feast your eyes on the latest models–they will all be there! \nLunch: A lunch will be available but must be ordered during registration on this site and will be provided by the Dover Hall in the ballroom. Porsche merchandise will be raffled during the luncheon\, courtesy of Euroclassics Porsche. The lunch venue limits us to 160 people. \nDriving Tour: After the lunch and award presentations are concluded\, a driving tour will depart from Dover Hall. \nWe highly encourage our new members to come out and meet fellow members who share your passion for Porsche. Remember\, it’s not just about the cars\, it’s about the people. Come and join us for the 28th Annual Richmond Porsche Meet! \nEvent Requirements \nFor this year’s RPM\, we’ve decided to launch a new Concours judging method—Participants’ Choice. This method cuts down on time-consuming methods of judging and brings back the fun factor for all participants. According to Porsche Club of America Concours judging guidance\, “…people serving as judges at a…concours should have practical experience preparing and entering cars…”. SUMMARY:Twelfth Annual Crozet Car Show
DESCRIPTION:If you didn’t get enough of a car show fix from RPM\, the 12th annual Crozet Car Show will take place on Saturday\, September 20\, 2025\, at Pollak Vineyards. The show will be open to the public from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The show is open to all makes and models so this is neither a Shenandoah Region nor PCA event. However\, our region will have a reserved parking area for our Porsches so come out and support this show that this year is raising funds to support The Blue Ridge Tunnel (BRT) Foundation. \nAll vehicles will be evaluated by experienced judges including members of our own Shenandoah Region. Trophies will be awards for Best in Show\, Top Ten People’s Choice\, The Blue Ridge Tunnel Trophy\, and three more special recognition trophies. Show participants should arrive at 9:00 AM for staging. \nThe cost to register to show your Porsches is $20 in advance or $25 the day of show\, but the show will be limited to 125 entries so unless you pre-register you’re not guaranteed an entry. For more information\, head to the Crozet Car Show Facebook page. Participants and show attendees are also encouraged to stop by the BRT Foundation booth to make a tax-deductible donation.
