SUMMARY:Autocross at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday\, September 13th
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open on MotorsportReg for the premier autocross of the year. This is our third year  at Richmond Raceway\, and we will have use of the track for full 8 hour track day.  Please note\, your run sequence will be based on when you register. The earlier your registration\, the earlier you will run. To register click the link below: \n AUTOCROSS REGISTRATION \nWe would like to offer a unique and special opportunity for our Shenandoah Region \, First Settlers and friends during our RPM weekend. We once again have rented the Richmond\nRaceway for a special autocross on the track. This event is not in the parking lot or near the facility\, but\nactually on the track that they race the NASCAR and Indy cars.  Our event is on Saturday\, September 13\, 2025. \nAn autocross is a single car timed competitive event where drivers navigate a course outlined by cones. \nThe course is a .75 mile D-Shaped oval track that  has a 860-foot straightaway.\nThis is truly a special opportunity that autocross enthusiasts seldom experience in your own car.  We only know of our two regions that to do an event of this magnitude. \nOur setup  will be a course that can be easily navigated with lots of openness for you to enjoy your car legally and safely while we run multiple cars one at a time.  We expect at least 5 runs per car and based on times and\nparticipation\, six runs are very possible this year. Each run is 1.5 laps of the race track.  \nRegistration is limited to 50 cars. This is a first come first served event. The earlier you sign up\, the earlier your run session. The asphalt track is unique\, fast\, and long.\nFor a full continuous 8 hours of racing (9 AM-5 PM)\, this is the Crown Jewel of our clubs racing season. \nBecause of the nearly five figure cost to rent the track\, we have had a price adjustment this year; $170 for our FSR & SRPCA members and $185 for non-PCA members. The opportunity and rarity of this event can’t be underplayed. RPM is is almost here so don’t delay in signing up for this event and other events planned for September 13th & 14th weekend. \nRPM(9/14th) registration link will be available on July 14th. \nA current compliant helmet is required for this event. O G Racing is a popular source for helmets \nWe hope to see everyone and all of your wonderful cars.  Be sure to come out and enjoy the rare and unique experience.\n For any questions please contact Rick Ebinger at fle9146@gmail .com

SUMMARY:Richmond Porsche Meet 2025
DESCRIPTION:The 28th Annual Richmond Porsche Meet weekend\, Shenandoah Region’s premier annual event\, is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for September 13th & 14th. On Saturday September 13th\, join us at the Richmond International Raceway for an Autocross. Separate links via e-mail have been sent for the Autocross registration. Afterwards\, plan on joining your friends for a cocktail party scheduled for Saturday\, 5:30 PM\, at the Hermitage Country Club in Manakin Sabot\, VA. The marque event is on Sunday\, September 14th\, a Concours and display of some fabulous Porsches at the beautiful Dover Hall near Short Pump\, VA. This is a new upscale venue for Shenandoah Region Porsche Club (SRPCA). We now have a new event co-host\, our friends from the neighboring First Settlers Region (FSR). We welcome FSR! \nRichmond Porsche Meet Details \nCocktail Party: Join us for hors d’oeuvre and a cash bar at the spectacular Hermitage Country Club located in Manakin Sabot\, VA\, beginning at 5:30 PM. \nConcours: A Concours on the Dover Hall property will kick off a full day of activities on Sunday. If you want to compete in the Concours\, you need to register your Porsche and register for lunch. The Concours will be limited to 50 cars and all awards will be presented during lunch in the Dover Hall ballroom. \nPorsche Corral: If you’re not entering the judged Concours\, you’ll still want to polish up your Porsche and plan to park in the Corral and participate in the People’s Choice award. Corral attendees must register on this site and register for lunch. There is no cost to register for the Corral. The People Choice award will be presented during lunch in the Dover Hall ballroom. \nWhether your focus is the vintage cars or to feast your eyes on the latest models–they will all be there! \nLunch: A lunch will be available but must be ordered during registration on this site and will be provided by the Dover Hall in the ballroom. Porsche merchandise will be raffled during the luncheon\, courtesy of Euroclassics Porsche. The lunch venue limits us to 160 people. \nDriving Tour: After the lunch and award presentations are concluded\, a driving tour will depart from Dover Hall. \nWe highly encourage our new members to come out and meet fellow members who share your passion for Porsche. Remember\, it’s not just about the cars\, it’s about the people. Come and join us for the 28th Annual Richmond Porsche Meet! \nEvent Requirements \nFor this year’s RPM\, we’ve decided to launch a new Concours judging method—Participants’ Choice. This method cuts down on time-consuming methods of judging and brings back the fun factor for all participants. According to Porsche Club of America Concours judging guidance\, “…people serving as judges at a…concours should have practical experience preparing and entering cars…”. Who is better at judging a car’s preparation than someone who’s prepared their car for the same event. Each RPM Concours entrant will be provided with a ballot to select the car they feel is the best prepared in each of the Porsche model categories below. Thus\, class winners will have been selected by a group of their Porsche peers\, we can think of no better honor to bestow. \nConcours Classes \n356: All years\n914: All years\n924/928/944/968: All years\n911: 1965-1998\n911: 1999-2012\n911: 2013-2025\nBoxster/Cayman: All years\n4 Door Porsches & EVs: All years \nAfter the winning cars are selected in each of the eight classes\, they will compete against each other for Best in Show: the RPM Trophy. This trophy will be awarded during lunch as determined by an experienced judging committee. \nOther trophies to be awarded during lunch include: \n\nPresidents Trophy – Current and past presidents of the Shenandoah and First Settlers Regions will select their most significant car from all Concours entrants and Corral cars.\nAlex Smith Award – Alex Smith (RPM founder) from the Shenandoah Region will select his favorite car from both concours entrants & corral cars.\nDover Hall Cup – Dover Hall personnel will select their favorite car from concours and the corral.\nGeorge Michaels Trophy – George Michaels with help from his FSR colleagues will select his favorite car from the corral.\nWeldon Scrogham Trophy for the People’s Choice Award – Corral attendees vote for their favorite car.\n\nTENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: \nSaturday\, September 13th \n8:30 AM – 5:00 PM – Autocross at Richmond International Raceway\, a NASCAR racetrack \n  Autocross registration on MotorsportReg LINK HERE \n5:30 PM – RPM Cocktail Party – Hermitage Country Club\, Manakin Sabot\, VA \nSunday\, September 14th – Concours\, Porsche Corral & Much More at Dover Hall \n8:45 AM to 9:30 AM – Arrive and stage for the judged Concours and the People’s Choice Porsche Corral \n9:30 AM to 10:45 AM – Simplified Concours Judging (Cars must be in their concours designated spaces by 9:30 AM) \n11:30 AM to 1:30 PM – Lunch in Dover Hall along with Merchandise raffles \n1:30 PM to 2:15 PM – Concours and People’s Choice Award Presentations \n2:15 PM – Driver’s Meeting for the Driving Tour \n2:30 PM – Driving Tour Departures Begin \nCocktail party\, Concours and/or Porsche Corral\, and lunch registration on MotorsportReg LINK HERE \nHOTELS: \nResidence Inn by Marriott at Short Pump.
