On Friday the weather forecast looked a bit iffy. But on Saturday, October 11th, sunshine greeted Shenandoah Region members of Porsche Club of America as they gathered at Southwest Mountain Vineyards to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the region’s founding. On that gorgeous fall day, Porsches from several different decades were carefully lined-up as they parked. As visitors to Southwest strolled down the line of cars they may have had the sensation of being in a super-sized outdoor Porsches showroom.

After considerable discussions with visitors and between members on what they’d been up to since the last time they saw each other, the merits of Macan ownership, and various other topics it was time for a catered buffet by the Southwest Mountain Vineyard’s chef. The delicious food paired well with many of their wines, especially the Viognier with the chicken. And the huge cookies were a seriously excellent handful. If anyone walked away hungry it was their own fault.
