On Saturday, November 22, the Shenandoah Region will host a Turkeys in the Trunk in Charlottesville and the First Settlers Region will host the same in Midlothian/Richmond and Virginia Beach. (More information is available on the FSR app for these locations.)
This is Shenandoah Region premier charitable event and comes at the time of the year where we can focus on gratitude and helping our neighbors though the holidays.
For those of you who haven’t been to “Turkeys in the Trunk”, this is how it works. First, you load your front trunk, or your back trunk if you have one, your roof rack, your passenger foot well… or wherever, with frozen turkeys, canned vegetables, non-perishable food and the rest of the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal. Second, meet-up at one of the gathering places to socialize before heading to one of the food bank locations.
The Shenandoah Region meet-up will be at 10:30 at Porsche Charlottesville, 1300 Richmond Road in Charlottesville to enjoy some coffee and pastries. Then at 11:45 AM we’ll depart for the Blue Ridge Food Bank located at 1207 Harris Street in Charlottesville. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to the Blue Ridge Food Bank.
We appreciate the continued support of the staff at Porsche Charlottesville in making this event possible.
Please register so that we can properly plan for the event. Registration is via MotorsportReg: LINK HERE
