PASTRAMI
“Porsches and Pastrami” is the Shenandoah Region’s enhanced version of the widespread “Porsches and Pancakes” get-togethers. We start with a lunch provided by Gary Hagar at Dürty Nelly’s (photo at right) at 2200 Jefferson Park Avenue in Charlottesville. Weather permitting, we follow lunch with a short driving tour. These events usually occur on the first Sunday of the month. See the calendar to find the next scheduled “Porsches and Pastrami” and meet fellow Porsche enthusiasts. PCA nonmembers are welcome.
Adult participants must sign the waiver form that will be provided at each driving event. Minors may attend PCA events only if their parents bring the appropriate parental-release waiver forms. There are PDF forms for minors as observers only or for minors in restricted areas, riding or driving. For photos from Porsches and Pastrami tours, see the Photo Gallery.

Porsches and Pastrami is back at Durty Nelly’s, Gary Hagar presiding. We met for lunch at 1 pm on a beautiful Sunday, November 11. The parking lot was filled with Porsches, including the white 1981 930 that Jeff Sivers recently bought in California, drove back to Virginia, tore down, repainted, and (mostly) put back together in time for the event. It sounds like a real beast.

After lunch we drove to the Old Stone Jail museum in the big city of Fluvanna. Carolyn Talley, Chuck Westrater, and Judy Mickelson of the Fluvanna Historical Society led us on an informative private tour of Maggie’s House, the 1800’s jail, and the old courthouse.
