On the morning of March 15, 2025, PCA members from the Shenandoah, First Settlers, and Blue Ridge regions met in the fog and mist at the Glenmore Country Club for the Tim Messer‘s Last Drive/Plank Road Drive. Tim and his wife Andrea are in the process of moving to Hawaii, we will miss them and wish them all the best. Despite the cold and damp conditions, more than 40 Porsches of all types, plus a few other brands, showed up for the event. A tip of the hat to Richard Tabor for his excellent drive group organization and staging/departure timing, as well as to the ten Shenandoah Region members who volunteered their time on multiple occasions to learn the route and to lead their groups today. As we drove the fog lifted and the mist evaporated enhancing our enjoyment of this fun run through Albemarle and Nelson counties twisty byways. The Virginia Piedmont’s back roads never disappoint. Our destination was Hazy Mountain Vineyards and Brewery where we enjoyed great food, drink, and fellowship. We’d like to thank the management and staff of Hazy Mountain for expertly handling our large group and making us feel so welcome. Keep your eyes on your email for details about our next big event, the Charlottesville Porsche Meet, scheduled for mid April. Thanks again to everyone who attended and to those who took so many pictures to choose from!
