Spooky Halloween Fun Run to Farmville

Please join us as we venture into new territory on Halloween.  Our drive through the mountains, farms, and mother nature is set for Saturday morning, October 31st, beginning at Belties in Nelson County. Coffee and pastries will be available for purchase. Please arrive at Belties no later than 8:45 AM. Drivers meeting will start at 9:15 AM and we will start departures at 9:30 AM.

We will proceed towards Lovingston and from there we will cruise through Buckingham and Cumberland counties and finish in Prince Edward County at the town of Farmville which is the home of Green Front Furniture.

Lunch will be the first order of business after our spooky run which will be at Charley’s Waterfront Cafe. We will have a buffet with two entree selections, vegetables, salad, bread, and coffee, tea or water for a price of $26.00 plus tax and tip per person. There will be no charge for the driving tour.  Each guest will pay their own check(s).

After lunch members are encouraged to visit the massive spooky historic warehouses (renovated tobacco warehouses) that sell furniture and home decor items. This is Virginia’s equivalent of a design center and is one of the best places to shop or browse furniture in the entire state and maybe in the nation.  There is nearly 1 million square feet of showroom space. Shop until you drop but watch out for the Grim Reaper!

The return trip will be on your own and our driving team may be able to suggest some scenic roads for your trip home depending on where you reside. It should be a fun day and you should be home in time for all the witches, ghosts and goblins that will be out on Saturday night. Costumes are encouraged but are not mandatory.
